Kingsdown School Wheelchair Dancing Team



The SPIN dance group has continued to take part in the weekly ballroom dance club on Thursday evenings and we now have two new able bodied dancers from the Mushroom Dance Theatre in Hullbridge and two ex-pupils in the group, which is lovely. After our successes in Holland last year we were desperate to enter the World Championships again, although we knew we would be in more difficult competitive groups. This year because of new dancers joining the club we were able to enter the ‘duo’ (two wheelchairs) and the ‘combi’ (an able bodied dancer and a wheelchair). We entered four ‘duo’ and four ‘combi’ events and were very successful gaining eleven medals ranging from 2nd - 6th.
