Southend’s Thameside Wheelchair Dancers excel at National Championships November 2011

A team of local wheelchair dancers, made up of members of the Thameside Wheelchair Dancing group and pupils from Kingsdown School, travelled to Weymouth in November to take part in UK Wheelchair Dance Sport, National Championships 2011. They set off at 5.00am in the special Jumbulance coach and arrived in Weymouth at 10.00am.

The team won many medals and the younger members were also presented with the Junior Trophy for their team dance.

It was a long day, but an extremely successful day!
