Fish class had been working really hard all term finding out about different places water can be found and what it is used for. As part of our work on rivers, we decided a trip to the London Thames would be a great idea. All the children were really excited and enjoyed helping to plan what transport we should use to get there!
We travelled to London by train - a first for many, which caused much laughter and excitement as the children saw fields and houses go whooshing by.
We then travelled up and down the river on a river-cruiser which was the highlight of the trip for most. Chelsea said: "Being on the boat made me feel really happy!"
For lunch, we ate like real grown-ups, in a proper restaurant, choosing our own drinks and pizzas.
It was a truly magical day which was enjoyed by everyone involved. Many thanks to 'Happy Days' for their kind sponsorship.
