Southend and District Riding Club for the Disabled
On Thursday 1st December Kingsdown introduced horse riding to the curriculum. Our first group of pupils took the school minibus to Belfairs Riding school where under the watchful eye of the instructor, volunteers and school staff they were first introduced to the horses; Clyde, Dandinni and Saffron. The pupils then had their first horse riding lesson in the indoor school. When the weather is suitable the pupils will be able to ride the horses through the woods.
Our first visit was a great success and there were certainly lots of happy smiling faces!
