Remembrance Day 2011

On Thursday 10th November the pupils at Kingsdown participated in a Remembrance themed assembly where they learnt the reasons why we wear a poppy. Each class made a poppy wreath and on Friday 11th November at 11.00 a.m. the whole school stopped for a one minute silence where we were very fortunate to have a pupil from Eastwood Secondary School play the Last Post. Some of our parents who were visiting school joined us for our very moving commemoration.
